In the Greater Bay Area Hundred-Kilometer Cycling Race, as the exclusive supporting unit for Amoul® , AED (Automated External Defibrillator) once again played a crucial role in rescuing cyclists suffering from cardiac arrest.

At 12:34 on the day of the race, Amoul® command center received a distress call from a cyclist who had collapsed. At 12:35, the Shenzhen Public Welfare Rescue Team arrived at the scene and immediately began performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the fallen cyclist. After assessing the situation, the rescue team found that the cyclist was unresponsive and not breathing, and immediately requested additional support. Two minutes later, the AED arrived at the scene and was promptly activated for lightning-fast rescue. Following the smart voice prompts from the AED, the rescue team successfully administered defibrillation within a few seconds and continued with alternating cycles of CPR.

During the incident, the AED successfully delivered three defibrillations and continuous chest compressions until the arrival of the ambulance, which resulted in the gradual recovery of the patient's independent breathing and consciousness. It is uplifting to note that the athlete underwent a successful heart surgery on the same day.

In fact, due to the impact of a severe cold wave, the temperature was only 6°C at 6:30 in the morning, making the cycling race challenging and demanding. However, Amoul® teams had already planned and prepared for the event, accompanying three thousand cyclists throughout the journey.

Over 300 volunteers, along with the official event support team, and the Shenzhen Public Welfare Rescue Team carrying AEDs, were stationed along the cycling route, ready to respond at any moment. This ensured that they could promptly arrive at the scene and provide emergency medical aid and rescue assistance in the event of any unexpected incidents. The intelligent portability of the AEDs provided by the Amoul® was crucial in this regard, as it enabled them to quickly respond and cooperate closely with the rescue team, effectively grasping the "golden four minutes" of rescue, which is critical for saving lives.

As a developer and manufacturer of AEDs, Amoul® possesses a complete ERC training system and has become the preferred brand for many official rescue organizations and main racecourse rescue teams. They have provided security for numerous large-scale sports events nationwide, safeguarding runners through practical actions.
